CPCSD (California Planting Cotton Seed Distributors) develops, produces, and distributes high quality cotton planting seed for California’s San Joaquin Valley, Europe, and other regions of the world.

Founded in 1936, CPCSD  has evolved from a small service organization to a highly sophisticated seed company with modern research facilities, unparalleled seed production capabilities, first-class delinting facilities, and numerous breeding nurseries located strategically throughout North America, Central America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.  CPCSD proudly offers a large portfolio of commercially successful, patented cotton varieties, including high yielding, high quality Acala, Upland, and Pima cottons, with and without value-added biotech traits.  These  varieties continue to set new standards in yield, fiber quality, and cost effectiveness.

While our multifaceted research programs focus on developing the super cotton varieties of the future, our seed production and distribution network assures growers a pure supply of the highest quality cotton planting seed.  CPCSD performs custom cotton seed production for many of the world’s largest cotton seed companies.

CPCSD is governed by a board comprised of fifteen grower members who represent the six cotton growing counties of the San Joaquin Valley.  Growers participate directly in setting our goals and priorities, assuring that we stay focused on what matters most - the customer.  CPCSD’s interest in California cotton goes far beyond our primary function of breeding and distributing seed.  Grower participation ensures a collective "grass roots" voice in far-ranging issues that affect our entire industry.
